International Women's Day 2019

Image may contain: 11 people, outdoorI was proud to march alongside my wife and daughters for International Women's Day this year. This day is very important for men and women across the world as we seek to address a balance between the sexes, fight inequality and address issues such as gender-based violence, equal pay and harmful gender stereotypes. We have three girls and want to teach them that the world is theirs. My wife was invited to talk at the rally and involved the children in her talk.

My wife spoke about harmful gender stereotypes and the effect that it can have on children growing  up. The two younger girls finished off the talk with their own inspiring words. Alice, who is seven proudly spoke into the microphone 'Everything is for everyone!' And Rosie, who is five, bravely said 'I can do anything I want!' The people at the rally cheered and we were so proud.

I want to raise my girls in a world where they are equal to boys, and I will continue to support them in any way I can.
